Over 300 Fahari Kilimo accounts opened for farmers in Songea

By Belinda Joseph, Songea

Farmers in the Ruvuma region have enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to boost their agricultural activities by opening Fahari Kilimo accounts.

The accounts are crucial in helping farmers access loans that enable them to improve the quality of their food and cash crop farms.

This initiative is spearheaded by CRDB Bank in collaboration with local government authorities and the Central Council of Muslims in Tanzania (BAKWATA).

Together, they have reached out to farmers in rural areas, educating them on the benefits of opening these accounts.

The accounts not only provide a secure place for farmers to save money but also facilitate access to loans whenever needed.

Speaking during the World Customer Service Week celebrations, Salma Mohamed Suleiman, the Customer Service Manager at CRDB Bank’s Songea branch, emphasized the importance of these accounts.

She urged farmers to take advantage of the fact that the accounts are fee-free, making it easier for them to safeguard their earnings.

As part of the customer service week activities, the bank also seeks to gather client feedback on their services.

This will allow CRDB to continuously improve and respond to the needs and suggestions of its customers.

Moreover, the bank is committed to identifying and addressing any challenges raised, while also acknowledging areas that receive positive feedback.

This proactive approach ensures that the bank continues to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The World Customer Service Week celebrations, which run from October 7 to 11, are held under the theme “Beyond Expectations.”

The theme highlights the bank’s dedication to delivering exceptional service and fostering customer satisfaction at the highest level.
