Akiba Commercial Bank Plc has expressed its gratitude to customers for joining them on their journey to deliver top-tier banking services that contribute to the economic and social development of Tanzanians.
The appreciation was conveyed on October 9, 2024, in Dar es Salaam by the bank’s CEO, Mr. Silvest Arumasi, during the Customer Service Week celebration held at the bank's Ubungo branch. The event was attended by customers, bank employees, and representatives from various media outlets.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Arumasi noted that this year’s Customer Service Week was being marked specially, emphasizing the value of their customers by offering awards to recognize them. He explained that these gestures are part of the bank’s commitment to continually providing excellent service.
The theme for this year’s celebration, “Above and Beyond,” is aimed at inspiring the bank's staff to exceed customer expectations and offer exceptional services.
"I would like to thank our customers for choosing us as your business partners. Without you, we would not have achieved the success we are celebrating today. This week is dedicated to you; we value and recognize your contribution," said Arumasi.
Akiba Commercial Bank has also made strides in enhancing its digital banking services, including improvements to the ACB Mobile and Akiba Wakala platforms to better meet customer needs.
In line with its digital transformation strategy, the bank has introduced a new Internet Banking service available to individual customers, large corporations, and various institutions. This move aligns with the bank's 2024 theme, "Let’s Go Digital."
"Considering the rapid technological advancements, we have designated 2024 as the ‘Year of Digital,’ and we are committed to delivering modern banking services through our digital platforms," added Mr. Arumasi.
Throughout Customer Service Week, Akiba Commercial Bank is conducting various activities across its branches in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, Moshi, Mbeya, and Dodoma, offering customers a chance to experience and participate in the ongoing improvements.
The bank will also continue to collect feedback and suggestions from customers to further enhance its products and services. "This week is not just about celebration; we pledge to continuously improve and offer services that exceed your expectations," Mr. Arumasi concluded.
