Dr. Biteko acknowledged the financial, infrastructure, and market challenges in using hydrogen but stressed that cooperation among African countries could provide solutions.

He explained Tanzanian commitment to lead in clean energy and working with other African nations through better policies.

The conference was opened by Namibia's Vice President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah. She urged participants to find ways to use local resources for national growth.

Namibia is proud of its hydrogen use in industries, which benefits the country and its neighbors.

Tanzania is just starting with hydrogen energy and is using the conference to learn more. Other African countries exploring hydrogen energy include Namibia, South Africa, Kenya, Mauritania, and Morocco.
