Coastal Union bundled out of CAF Confederation Cup

Tanzanian side Coastal Union have farewelled CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) after suffering a 3-0 aggregate defeat from Angolan team Bravos FC.

The return leg match at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Sunday has elapsed in a barren draw enough for the visitors to progress to the second preliminary round of the competition.

In the first leg match played in Angola last week, Bravos emerged 3-0 winners as they utilized well home ground advantage to score the three crucial goals.

As such, Coastal Union are the second team from Tanzania to be kicked out of the CAF Interclub Competitions this season after Azam who got eliminated in the Champions League.

The Chamazi based outfits were shown an exit door following a 2-1 aggregate upset from Rwanda's side APR.

This means Young Africans are the only envoys in the Champions League while Simba will represent the country in the Confederation Cup respectively.
