Mbinga. Mbinga Town Council (MTC) has received Sh273.6 million for the implementation of development projects in the education sector, hats off to the sixth phase regime under Hon. President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The amount will be used for the construction of secondary schools’ nine classrooms and 34 toilet holes, according to Mbinga Town acting director, Dr. Kung’e Nyamuryekung’e.
He said of the amount, some Sh96 million will be used for the construction of Ndela Secondary School’s four classrooms and Sh72 million for the construction of Luhuwiko Secondary Schools’ three classrooms.
The icing on the cake, he expounded, some Sh48 million will be spent for the construction of Kihungu Secondary School’s two classrooms.
Speaking of the construction of toilet holes, Dr. Nyamuryekung’e said some Sh57.6 million will be spent for the purpose.
He said 14 toilet holes will be constructed at Mbangamao Secondary School and eight at Dr. Shein Secondary School at a cost of Sh23.6 million and Sh13.6 million respectively.
Furthermore, Lamata and Kihungu Secondary Schools will each have six toilet holes built at a total cost of Sh20.4 million.
“We are grateful for the good government that we have. We credit it for disbursing us with Sh273.6 million purposefully for education projects,” asserted Dr. Nyamuryekung’e.
Since Hon. President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan took power in March 2021; she has been a big shot when it comes to the development projects.
