RHINO Rangers have turned their attention to KMC after a 1-0 victory over Mbuni boosted their confidence ahead of their next NBC Championship fixture.
The Arusha-based side collected maximum points against Mbuni at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium yesterday, with head coach Salvatory Edward saying the result had strengthened the team’s determination to push for promotion to the Mainland Premier League.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, Edward said the team was targeting three points in every match as it seeks to build a strong position in the championship.
He said preparations were now focused on the November 6 encounter against KMC at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam, where Rhino Rangers will be looking to maintain their winning momentum.
“The match gave us the motivation to continue preparing ourselves to achieve our ambition of playing in the Premier League. To get there, we must fight hard,” he said.
Edward said the technical bench was also working to address weaknesses exposed in previous matches, particularly the team's failure to convert scoring opportunities into goals.
He said improving their finishing remained a priority if the team was to turn its chances into victories and remain on course for its promotion ambitions.
The coach urged supporters to continue backing the team, saying their support would provide additional motivation for players as they face the challenges of the championship.
