Students at Lualaje Secondary School are set to benefit from improved science learning facilities after Lupa Constituency MP Masache Kasaka and other stakeholders raised TZS 35 million towards completing the school’s laboratory.

The fundraising initiative aims to improve students’ access to practical science education, helping them acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform better academically and prepare for future opportunities in science-related fields.

The funds were raised during the school’s first Form Four graduation ceremony since its establishment in 2023. Kasaka contributed TZS 6.5 million, while other stakeholders provided the remaining amount.

Speaking as the guest of honour, Kasaka congratulated the school board, teachers and students on reaching the milestone, while encouraging the community to continue supporting initiatives that improve educational facilities and create better learning conditions for children.

He also wished Form Four students success in their national examinations, scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.

The laboratory project is expected to address an important need in science education by providing students with an opportunity to put classroom knowledge into practice through experiments and other practical learning activities.

Access to well-equipped laboratories can help students develop scientific skills, improve their understanding of complex subjects and build a stronger foundation for further education and careers in science and technology.

The TZS 35 million raised represents a joint effort by leaders and community stakeholders to support the school’s development. Completing the facility will be an important step towards ensuring students have access to learning resources that support their academic progress.

Kasaka attended the ceremony alongside District Political Committee member Emanuel Mwileki, Lualaje Ward Councillor Leckson Mwakasuluka, School Board Chairperson Shabani Mwanyajile, former councillor Tusalimu Mwaijande, and other political and government leaders at ward level.

The initiative underscores the importance of community participation in improving public education infrastructure, with the ultimate goal of giving students a better learning environment and expanding their opportunities for the future.
