Today marks World Tourism Day, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority joins stakeholders across the globe in celebrating the occasion, reaffirming our commitment to serving visitors at international standards, and encouraging couples everywhere to come and witness the wonders of this Garden of Eden.

Come without your partner, and you'll struggle to find the words to describe what you've seen; this is a conservation area brimming with attractions that are not merely Tanzania's pride, but the pride of the entire world.
Speaking on Ngorongoro's remarkable qualities, Senior Assistant Commissioner overseeing Tourism Services and Marketing, Mariam Kobelo, said the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a treasured heritage site that must be jealously protected for the benefit of generations to come.
Kobelo explained that in marking World Tourism Day 2026, the Authority extends its sincere gratitude to visitors, tour operators, travel agents, partners, investors, tour guides, tourism sector stakeholders and local communities for their tremendous contribution to tourism.
"As we look towards the future of tourism, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority continues to make improvements to our digital services and the use of Artificial Intelligence, in order to increase efficiency, enhance the visitor experience and deliver services that meet international standards, all while staying true to our core principles of conservation and sustainable tourism," Commissioner Kobelo emphasised.
She added that Ngorongoro is not merely a place to visit, but a world heritage that must live on for the benefit of generation after generation, so they may continue learning from a natural history safeguarded by the promise of sustainable conservation. Ngorongoro values our culture, and we protect all our natural resources in the understanding that tourism development goes hand in hand with the responsibility to protect our environment and preserve our heritage for generations yet to come.
