The Prisons netball team strengthened its campaign at the 2026 Tanzania Military Sports Council (BAMMATA) championships after defeating Tanzania Police 63-36 at CCM Kirumba Stadium on Monday.
Prisons took control of the match through coordinated attacks and efficient finishing, scoring 63 goals while holding Police to 36.
The 27-goal margin underlined Prisons’ dominance in a match that saw the team make effective use of its scoring opportunities.
The victory comes after Prisons previously edged JKT Tanzania 46-43, maintaining the team’s positive start to the competition.
The BAMMATA 2026 championships bring together teams from Tanzania’s security and defence institutions in various sporting disciplines.
