Investors, miners and mineral traders have been urged to visit the Mining Commission pavilion at the ongoing National Mineral Technology and Investment Exhibition in Geita to explore opportunities across Tanzania’s mining value chain.
The ninth edition of the exhibition, being held at the Dkt Samia Suluhu Hassan Grounds in Bomba Mbili, Geita, has brought together players in the mining sector as the country seeks to promote investment, modern technologies and value addition in minerals.
Running from September 23 to October 3, the exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to engage directly with Mining Commission experts on mineral exploration, mining, processing, trading and investment.
The Commission is also showcasing services and technologies designed to improve mineral identification and analysis, including its Mineral Laboratory, where visitors can learn about modern testing technologies such as X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF).
The technology enables mineral analysis and can support more accurate identification of mineral composition, an important step for miners and investors assessing the quality and commercial potential of mineral deposits.
The pavilion is also offering information on available services and investment opportunities within Tanzania’s mineral sector, giving visitors an opportunity to understand the regulatory and technical environment governing mining activities.
The exhibition comes as Tanzania continues efforts to increase the contribution of minerals to the economy by encouraging investment, improving mining technologies and promoting greater value addition within the country.
The Mining Commission has encouraged members of the public, investors, miners and traders to visit its pavilion before the exhibition closes on October 3 to engage with experts and learn more about opportunities in the sector.
