WIPO opens job opportunity for Tanzanian records and archives officer

Tanzanians with relevant qualifications have been invited to apply for a job opportunity at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), offering a chance to work at the United Nations agency’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA) announced the opportunity in a public notice issued on August 11, 2026, calling on qualified Tanzanians to consider applying for the position.

The vacancy is for an Assistant Archives Officer in the Records and Archives Section, under WIPO’s Knowledge Management and General Services Division.

The successful candidate will be based in Geneva, Switzerland, where they will support the management, preservation and accessibility of institutional records and archives.

WIPO is a specialised United Nations agency responsible for promoting intellectual property protection and international cooperation in the field of intellectual property.

According to BRELA, the deadline for applications is August 26, 2026.
