The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) has been recognised for its contribution to the success of the Kizimkazi Festival 2026 after receiving a certificate of appreciation from President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The recognition came after the authority participated in the festival, where it showcased Ngorongoro’s tourism and conservation attractions to thousands of visitors attending the event.
NCAA’s exhibition proved popular among festival-goers, with a large screen providing visitors with an opportunity to watch wildlife in their natural habitats.
The display featured the iconic Big Five elephants, leopards, buffaloes, lions and rhinos—as well as other wildlife species found in the Ngorongoro ecosystem.
The initiative gave visitors a glimpse of the wildlife experience awaiting tourists at Ngorongoro while highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainable tourism.
For many festival-goers, the presentation offered more than entertainment, bringing the reality of Tanzania’s wildlife heritage closer to the public through visual technology.
The participation also provided an opportunity to connect Zanzibar’s growing tourism profile with attractions on the mainland, highlighting the range of tourism experiences available across Tanzania.
The Kizimkazi Festival brought together government institutions, tourism stakeholders and other players to showcase their products and services while promoting tourism, investment and cultural exchange.
NCAA’s recognition reflects the growing role of tourism institutions in using public events and digital displays to raise awareness of Tanzania’s natural attractions and encourage both domestic and international tourism.
