President Samia Suluhu Hassan has reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) after receiving a special message from DRC President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi.
The message was delivered at State House in Dar es Salaam on Sunday by DRC Minister of Regional Cooperation, Floribert Anzuluni Isiloketshi.
During talks with the minister, President Samia said Tanzania would continue working with the DRC to deepen the long-standing relations between the two countries and expand cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The discussions come as Tanzania and the DRC continue to enhance economic and regional partnerships, particularly in trade, transport connectivity, energy, and investment.
The two neighbouring countries have maintained historic ties, with growing cooperation aimed at supporting economic growth and improving opportunities for citizens in both nations.
The meeting underscores Tanzania’s continued role in promoting regional cooperation and strengthening partnerships within the East and Central African regions.
