The Ministry of Finance's efforts to improve public understanding of economic and financial issues through its exhibition at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) have received positive feedback from visitors, who say the initiative is helping bridge the information gap between government institutions and citizens.

The Ministry's pavilion, one of the busiest at this year's Sabasaba exhibition, offers visitors access to information on fiscal policy, public finance management and services provided by the ministry and its affiliated institutions.

During a visit to the pavilion, the Executive Director of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), CPA Prof. Siasa Mzenzi, commended the ministry for using the trade fair as a platform to engage directly with the public on issues that shape the country's economic development.

He said the initiative enables citizens to better understand government policies, development programmes and the management of public resources, while strengthening public awareness of the country's financial system.

"The exhibition provides a valuable opportunity for citizens to interact directly with experts, seek clarification on financial matters and obtain reliable information about the services offered by the Ministry of Finance and its institutions," Prof. Mzenzi said.

He added that such public engagement promotes transparency, encourages greater participation in development initiatives and supports wider adoption of formal financial services, which are essential for inclusive economic growth.

Visitors to the pavilion echoed the sentiments, saying the exhibition had improved their understanding of personal finance, government economic policies and the role played by the ministry in managing the country's finances.

Ms Fatuma Mshana, one of the visitors, said discussions with ministry officials had given her a clearer understanding of financial issues and reinforced the importance of relying on official government information when making financial decisions.

She also praised the professionalism and responsiveness of the ministry's staff, noting that the guidance she received would help her make better-informed financial choices.

The Ministry of Finance's pavilion has continued to attract large crowds throughout the 50th DITF, reflecting growing public interest in financial literacy and government services.

Many visitors have left the exhibition expressing satisfaction with the quality of information and advisory services provided.
