The National Environment Management Council (NEMC) has officially recognized Jackline Eliabi, a class six pupil from Manyinga Primary School in Mvomero District, for her exceptional presentation on the 'Circular Economy' during the climax of World Environment Day celebrations.

The award was presented directly by NEMC Director General, Dr. Immaculate Sware Semesi.

The primary school pupil received widespread praise and was awarded special prizes after masterfully articulating the critical environmental concept, which champions the sustainable use of resources, proactive waste reduction, and ecosystem conservation.

Onlookers noted that Jackline’s presentation demonstrated a profound understanding of modern environmental challenges, highlighting how young students can actively educate the wider community on environmental care to achieve sustainable development goals.

Speaking at the climax of the event, Dr. Semesi emphasized that recognizing such young talent is part of a broader strategy to involve students in driving the national environmental conservation and management agenda.

"Students are key stakeholders in environmental protection efforts. They are the future environmental ambassadors who will help advance the sustainable development agenda for the benefit of the nation and future generations," Dr Semesi said.

Local educators expressed hope that Jackline's recognition will inspire other schools in the Morogoro region to integrate environmental sustainability into their daily student activities.
