TRA United target quick recovery after Kigoma defeat

TRA United have shifted focus to their next two fixtures after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mashujaa FC in a NBC Premier League encounter played at Lake Tanganyika Stadium.

Despite the setback, the club remains upbeat, with management insisting the result has strengthened their resolve to bounce back, particularly in the upcoming matches.

Speaking after the game, TRA United spokesperson Christina Mwagala said the team has maintained high morale and is already working on key areas that need improvement.

She confirmed that TRA United will next face Azam FC on May 8 at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium, before taking on JKT Tanzania in their following fixture.

According to Mwagala, the Kigoma defeat has not discouraged the squad but instead served as a wake-up call for both players and the technical bench to step up their performance.

“We have lost an important match, but we appreciate the effort shown by our players, who fought hard throughout the game. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side,” she said.

She added that the team is now fully focused on collecting crucial points from the upcoming matches to strengthen its position in the league standings.

The club is banking on improved execution and better use of home advantage to return to winning ways and sustain competitiveness in the league.
