The Tanzania Revenue Authority (Tanzania Revenue Authority) has congratulated Ms. Leah Mwamba following her election as the National Chairperson of the Tanzania Association of Public Service Employees (TAPSEA), commending her leadership and pledging continued cooperation aimed at strengthening institutional performance and staff engagement.
Speaking on behalf of TRA management on May 26, 2026, during a brief ceremony held to honour her election, the Director of Human Resources and Administration, Mr. Moshi Kabengwe, said the Authority was pleased with Ms. Mwamba’s appointment, noting that it reflects the trust and confidence she has earned through discipline, professionalism, and consistent service.
He said her election is a positive step not only for TAPSEA but also for the wider public service, adding that strong leadership within staff associations plays a key role in enhancing communication, unity, and workplace efficiency.
He expressed confidence that her leadership will further strengthen cooperation between TAPSEA and TRA.
Mr. Kabengwe added that TRA will continue to work closely with TAPSEA in strengthening employee welfare systems and institutional dialogue, noting that such collaboration is essential for improving service delivery and supporting national development objectives.
He also said Ms. Mwamba is expected to represent the institution well in her new national responsibility while upholding integrity and professionalism.
For her part, Ms. Mwamba expressed appreciation for the trust placed in her and said she accepted the responsibility with humility and commitment.
She pledged to work closely with members across the country to strengthen TAPSEA and ensure it continues to grow as an effective platform for public service employees.
She further committed to promoting unity, accountability, and professionalism within the association while maintaining strong cooperation with TRA and other stakeholders.
Ms. Mwamba also thanked TRA for its support during the ceremony, where the institution was recognized for leading in mobilizing the highest number of association members.
She called on members to remain united and active in order to build a stronger association that delivers meaningful value to both employees and institutions.
