Gospel artist Dr. Ipyana Kibona has called on young people across Tanzania to seek God and live according to His will, saying true success and fulfillment cannot be found in worldly pursuits.
Speaking to journalists shortly after arriving in Dodoma ahead of a major worship and praise gathering titled The Kingdom Has Come, scheduled for May 22 and 23 at Wajenzi Grounds, Dr. Kibona said many young people are searching for greatness in the wrong places while neglecting their spiritual foundation.
Quoting Psalms 34:9-10, he said: “Fear the Lord, you His holy people, for those who fear Him lack nothing.”
“Our youth must understand that what they are looking for is not out there in the world. We should first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else will be added unto us,” he said.
Dr. Kibona expressed gratitude for what he described as a growing generation of young people committed to worship and faith, saying spiritual transformation has no age limit as God continues to empower youth to serve and proclaim His name boldly.
He said the upcoming gathering will go beyond praise and worship, featuring prayers, spiritual revival, healing sessions, and testimonies of life transformation.
“We will dance, jump, celebrate and worship God with all our strength, but above all we will pray deeply and glorify His name. This is our week of victory because the Kingdom of God has arrived in Dodoma,” he said.
According to him, preparations for the event have been ongoing for nearly a month, involving prayer and spiritual preparation, while thanking the people of Dodoma for their hospitality.
He said the main purpose of the gathering is to uplift Jesus Christ and encourage people to return to God’s will.
“When we worship and glorify God, He comes into the midst of His people. That is where restoration begins. There will be miracles, healing, chains will be broken, curses destroyed, and people will receive freedom from long-standing struggles,” he said.
Dr. Kibona also emphasized the importance of more spiritual gatherings for young people, saying they help promote moral values and the fear of God in society.
Pastor Dr. Linus Marco said the event is also meant to officially welcome Dr. Kibona, who represents the vision of Grand Ibada Global and the Dr. Ipyana Foundation.
He encouraged young people to attend in large numbers while maintaining peace, unity, and strong moral conduct.
“When the Word of God enters the hearts of young people, it transforms them into light for the world and agents of positive change in society,” he said.
Youth representative Careen Lomayan urged young people to live with discipline and faith, warning that misusing youth could lead to future difficulties.
Another participant, Andrew Mwambalaswa encouraged youth not to miss the gathering, describing it as a place of spiritual protection, peace, and direction.
The The Kingdom Has Come worship gathering is expected to attract thousands of worshippers and youth from across Tanzania to Wajenzi Grounds in Dodoma.
