Ambassador Swahiba Mndeme on May 19, 2026, expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to her by Ambassador Zenani Dlamini during a courtesy call held in Stockholm, Kingdom of Sweden.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the SADC Group as a key platform for consultation, coordination and cooperation among Southern African countries represented in Sweden, as well as across the Nordic and Baltic regions.
The platform was noted as an important channel for promoting shared interests and strengthening diplomatic engagement among member states.
The two Ambassadors reflected on the long-standing friendship between Tanzania and South Africa. They noted that the relationship continues to grow through cooperation in various sectors and is guided by shared African values, solidarity and mutual respect.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.
They also emphasized continued collaboration within the SADC framework and other international platforms to advance common regional and diplomatic priorities.
