Organizers of the Tanzania Investment Summit 2026 have said the upcoming event is expected to play a major role in accelerating investment opportunities and strengthening partnerships across key sectors of the economy.

The announcement was made during a joint press conference held in Arusha, where organizers officially marked the countdown to the summit, which is scheduled to take place on 1–2 June 2026 at the Gran Meliá Arusha.

The Tanzania Investment Summit 2026 is being convened through the Tanzania Investment Growth Facility (TIGF) and co-hosted by the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) and the United Nations Development Programme Tanzania (UNDP)

It is also being organized in partnership with the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) and the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA).

During the press briefing, organizers said the summit has been designed to go beyond traditional discussions and focus on practical investment outcomes that can directly support economic transformation in Tanzania.

They explained that the event will provide structured platforms such as deal rooms, investor matchmaking sessions, and project financing opportunities aimed at linking investors with bankable projects from both the public and private sectors.

According to the organizers, the goal is to ensure that the summit becomes a strong bridge between ideas and implementation, where discussions are translated into real investments that can support industrial growth, job creation, and improved livelihoods.

“This Summit is about creating meaningful investment connections and accelerating projects that can transform communities, industries, and livelihoods across Tanzania,” the organizers said during the press conference.

They further noted that Tanzania continues to position itself as a competitive investment destination in Africa, supported by ongoing reforms in the business environment, improved infrastructure, and efforts to enhance public-private partnerships.

The summit is also expected to bring together government leaders, development partners, financial institutions, private investors, and project developers from across Africa and beyond, making it one of the key investment gatherings in the region for 2026.

Organizers added that preparations are in advanced stages, with strong interest already being recorded from potential investors in sectors such as energy, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, tourism, and digital economy.

They called on stakeholders in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar to take advantage of the summit to showcase viable projects and engage directly with investors who are seeking opportunities in emerging markets.

As the countdown continues, the Tanzania Investment Summit 2026 is expected to serve as a strategic platform for strengthening Tanzania’s position in regional and global investment networks while advancing sustainable economic growth.
