Twiga Stars head coach Bakari Shime has named a 25-player squad that will enter camp to prepare for two international friendly matches scheduled under the FIFA international window.

The squad was officially released on Tuesday through the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Instagram page, featuring a balanced mix of home-based players and professionals plying their trade abroad.

The selection highlights the team’s ongoing efforts to strengthen competitiveness and build depth as Tanzania’s women’s national team continues its development path ahead of upcoming international assignments.

From domestic clubs, JKT Queens lead the representation with Najati Abbas, Donisia Minja, Ester Maseke, Anastazia Katunzi, and Alia Salum earning call-ups following their consistent performances in the national league.

Simba Queens also have a strong presence in the squad, with Janeth Simba, Aisha Ramadhan, Aisha Mnunka, and Lizabeth Mwimi included. Fountain Gate Princess are represented by Nusra Jafar, Mary Siyame, and Winifrida Charles.

Other home-based call-ups include Ester Mabanza and Diana Mnally from Yanga Princess, Bahati Steven of Bunda Queens, Veronika Mapunda from Mashujaa Queens, and Suzan Manumbu of Tausi Queens.

The squad also features a growing number of Tanzania’s women footballers competing professionally abroad, reflecting the increasing international exposure of Twiga Stars players.

Foreign-based call-ups include Jukietha Tamuwai and Eneka Lunyamila, both featuring for FC Juárez in Mexico. Others are Opa Clement and Vioth Nicholaus, who play for Eibar in Spain.

Additional international inclusions are Hasnath Ubamba of Al Masry in Egypt, Diana Msewe of Trabzonspor in Turkey, and Noela Luhala of ASA Tel Aviv in Israel.

Coach Shime is expected to use the training camp to assess player fitness, strengthen team cohesion, and refine tactical plans ahead of the two FIFA-sanctioned friendly matches.

The fixtures are part of Twiga Stars’ broader preparation programme aimed at improving performance levels on the international stage and building a competitive squad capable of consistent results.

With a blend of experienced internationals and promising domestic talent, the squad signals continued progress in Tanzania’s women’s football development and long-term ambitions on the global stage.
