Deputy Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Wanu Hafidh Ameir, today tabled the Ministry’s revenue and expenditure estimates for the 2026/2027 financial year in Parliament on behalf of the Minister for Education, Science and Technology, outlining the government’s strategic priorities for advancing Tanzania’s education sector.
Presenting the budget proposals in Dodoma, Ameir highlighted the ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening education infrastructure, improving access to quality learning, and enhancing science and technology development across the country.
The budget presentation forms part of the ongoing parliamentary budget session, where ministries are submitting their financial plans and expenditure priorities for the upcoming fiscal year for debate and approval.
The Ministry’s estimates are expected to focus on key interventions including expansion of school infrastructure, teacher capacity development, advancement of technical and vocational education, and increased investment in innovation and digital learning initiatives in line with Tanzania’s broader education transformation agenda.
Lawmakers are expected to debate the proposed allocations before Parliament reaches a final decision on the ministry’s 2026/2027 budget framework.
