Moravian Church urges faithful to embrace peace and perseverance

The Moravian Church in Tanzania has called on believers to remain strong in faith, embrace peace, and persevere through life’s challenges without losing hope.

The message was delivered on April 12, 2026, in Dodoma during a special praise and worship service and gospel music festival that brought together different church music groups.

Speaking at the event, Moravian Church Modern Fellowship Evangelist Anosisye Mwaigom encouraged believers to understand that belonging to a denomination alone is not a guarantee of salvation.

He said what matters most is having a genuine relationship with God and remaining faithful even during difficulties.

He stressed that trials are part of spiritual growth and should not push believers away from their responsibilities or faith. According to him, challenges are meant to strengthen, not destroy, those who trust in God.

“Trials are meant to strengthen you. If you truly know God, you will not run away from your responsibilities or challenges,” he said.

The Pastor of Mkonze Fellowship, Emmanuel Jonathan Mwakabalila, highlighted the importance of investing in praise and worship ministries within the church.

He said such ministries play a key role in strengthening faith and guiding young people into church service.

He compared investment in church music ministries to parents’ efforts in educating their children, saying both are essential for building a strong future generation.

Church members who attended the festival said praise and worship events help strengthen both spiritual life and social unity in the community.

They added that such gatherings encourage young people to remain hopeful and committed to their faith.

Gospel singer Grace Kamendu encouraged young people who feel discouraged to rise again and trust in God, saying that change and restoration are always possible through faith.

“What seems difficult to you is not difficult for God,” she said, urging believers to remain hopeful.

Another gospel minister, evangelist Adam Kisimile, said praise and worship play an important role in helping Christians grow spiritually and discover their talents.

He noted that many believers experienced renewed faith and spiritual encouragement during the service.

He added that such gatherings continue to show the importance of worship in bringing healing, unity, and spiritual freedom among believers.

The event, marked by songs, prayers, and worship sessions, was described as a strong platform for strengthening unity within the church and deepening faith among members of the community.
