Contestants of the Miss World Tanzania 2026 have undergone a special cultural and tourism orientation aimed at preparing them to represent the country as ambassadors of its heritage and identity.

The training, organised by experts from the National Museum of Tanzania, took place on April 16, 2026 at White Sands Resort.

The session focused on building participants’ understanding of Tanzania’s tourism sector, history, traditions and national values, equipping them with knowledge considered essential for their roles on both local and international stages.

Tourism Officer Chance Ezekiel outlined the progress of Tanzania’s tourism industry and its strategic direction, stressing the importance of contestants using their platforms to promote the country’s attractions and cultural richness.

On the history side, Heritage Conservator Nasri Omari highlighted the role of the National Museum in preserving and promoting the country’s heritage.

He explained the institution’s mandate, including the management of historical sites and antiquities across Tanzania.

Another facilitator, Shomari Rajabu, guided the contestants on cultural values, traditions and effective communication with communities, underscoring the need to uphold Tanzanian identity while engaging with diverse audiences.

Participants said the training had broadened their understanding of the country’s heritage and tourism potential, and would help them carry out their roles more effectively.

The National Museum of Tanzania continues to implement public education programmes aimed at safeguarding and promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.
