KMC failed to make the most of home advantage after being held to a 1–1 draw by Tanzania Prisons in an NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League match played at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.
The visitors made a fast start and shocked the home side early, taking the lead in the fifth minute through Jeremiah Juma, who finished clinically to give Tanzania Prisons a 1–0 advantage.
KMC responded with urgency after conceding and gradually grew into the game, pushing forward in search of an equaliser.
Their pressure eventually paid off in the 38th minute when Adam Uledi found the back of the net to level the score at 1–1, bringing the home side back into contention before halftime.
The match remained tightly balanced going into the break, with both teams showing attacking intent but lacking the final touch in the decisive moments.
In the second half, both KMC and Tanzania Prisons increased their tempo, each side pushing for a winning goal.
KMC enjoyed spells of pressure, particularly with home supporters urging them forward, while Tanzania Prisons looked dangerous on counter-attacks.
However, clear scoring opportunities were wasted as both defences held firm under pressure.
Despite late attempts from either side, neither team was able to break the deadlock, and the match ended level at 1–1 after a competitive and physically demanding contest.
The result leaves both sides still struggling in the relegation zone. Tanzania Prisons sit 15th with 14 points, while KMC remain bottom of the table in 16th place with nine points, increasing pressure on both teams as the season reaches a critical stage.
