Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan appointed Patron of Pan Africa Tourism Board

The Pan Africa Tourism Board has officially announced the appointment of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as its new Patron, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s leadership and strategic direction.

In a statement released from the Office of the President of the board, Mariam Lesian expressed great honor and enthusiasm over the appointment, highlighting Jonathan’s longstanding commitment to advancing tourism and preserving cultural heritage across Africa.

During his tenure as President of Nigeria, Jonathan was instrumental in promoting national heritage through initiatives such as the “Nigeria, Our Heritage Project,” which aimed to showcase the country’s rich cultural diversity while strengthening its tourism sector. 

His administration also prioritized infrastructure development and economic diversification, efforts that contributed to enhancing Nigeria’s global tourism appeal.

The Pan Africa Tourism Board also continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of tourism across the continent. 

As a Pan-African platform, the organization works to promote Africa as a unified tourism destination, strengthen cross-border collaboration, and amplify the global visibility of the continent’s diverse cultural and natural assets.
