WMA CEO urges management to strengthen service delivery and support national development

The Chief Executive Officer of the Weights and Measures Agency (WMA), Alban Kihulla, has called on the agency’s management team to engage in open, constructive, and results-driven discussions aimed at enhancing service delivery, thereby supporting President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan in her nation-building agenda.

Speaking on March 26, 2026, during a management meeting reviewing the implementation of the 2025/26 plan and budget and preparing the 2026/27 financial year plan, CEO Kihulla emphasized the importance of transparency and meaningful contributions from all participants.

"Our discussions must be open, and every contribution should be aimed at achieving tangible benefits for the nation," he stressed, highlighting the need for accountability and focused decision-making.

During the meeting held at WMA’s headquarters in Medeli, Dodoma, Kihulla urged management to carefully scrutinize the upcoming year’s plan and budget to ensure efficient implementation and high-impact results.

The Weights and Measures Agency, operating under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, plays a critical role in protecting consumers by verifying measurements and ensuring proper use of measurement tools, safeguarding fairness in trade and commerce.
