The Tanzania Professional Boxing Coaches Association (TPBCA) has appointed Mr. Dauka Abraham Somba as its new Media and Communications Manager, a move expected to strengthen the association’s communication and public engagement.
Mr. Somba, a seasoned journalist with credentials recognized by the Board of Tanzania Journalists, brings extensive experience in media and communications to his new role. His appointment was announced by the TPBCA leadership on March 14, 2026.
In a statement, TPBCA expressed confidence in Mr. Somba’s ability to enhance the association’s outreach and support its mission of nurturing boxing talent across the country.
“We welcome him into the TPBCA leadership and wish him great success in his duties,” the statement read.
The leadership emphasized that Mr. Somba’s role will be instrumental in promoting the growth of coaches and developing champions of tomorrow, reinforcing TPBCA’s commitment to advancing professional boxing in Tanzania.
