Twenty lucky participants will have the chance to witness the World Cup final in person, alongside prizes including televisions and decoders, through a special campaign launched by CRDB Bank in collaboration with Tembo Card.
The campaign, titled “Finals Are the Plan”, will run over three months, concluding on June 11 with the final prize draw.
Speaking at the campaign launch, CRDB Bank’s Director of Small and Medium Customer Services, Bonaventure Paul, said ten of the 20 winners will travel to watch the World Cup live, while the remaining winners will receive televisions and decoders to enjoy the matches from home.
“The first draw will be held on April 12, selecting seven winners four will win trips to the United States to watch the World Cup, and three will receive a television with a decoder,” Paul explained.
The second draw is scheduled for May 12, with six winners three winning trips to Canada and three receiving television and decoder sets.
The final draw on June 11 will select seven winners, three of whom will travel to Canada, while four will receive televisions with decoders.
To participate, customers must make at least 30 transactions per month using their Tembo Card, regardless of the transaction amount. Paul encouraged Tanzanians to use their Tembo Cards to increase their chances of winning.
Sports analyst Shafii Dauda said this edition of the World Cup will be historic, with the tournament hosted across three countries United States, Canada, and Mexico and expanding from 32 to 48 teams. The number of matches will also rise from 64 to 104 across 12 groups.
“This World Cup promises to be extraordinary, and those attending live will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Dauda said.
