Tanzania has continued to expand its tourism promotion efforts in Europe as the My Tanzania Roadshow 2026 entered its second day in Copenhagen, bringing together tourism stakeholders from Tanzania and Denmark to strengthen partnerships and promote the country as a leading travel destination.

The event was officially launched by the Honorary Consul of the United Republic of Tanzania in Denmark, Simon C.

Mears, who welcomed participants and emphasized the vast tourism and investment opportunities available in Tanzania.

Speaking during the opening session, Mr. Mears encouraged international investors and tourism partners to explore opportunities in Tanzania, noting that the country continues to offer a peaceful and stable environment for tourism development and investment.

He said Tanzania remains one of Africa’s most attractive tourism destinations due to its unique natural attractions, welcoming people, and strong commitment to sustainable tourism development.

More than 50 tourism agents from Denmark met with tour operators from Tanzania in a series of networking and business-to-business (B2B) meetings aimed at strengthening tourism cooperation and attracting more visitors to Tanzania.

The meetings created an important platform for tourism stakeholders from both countries to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore new ways of marketing Tanzania to European travelers.

Key tourism institutions, including the Tanzania Tourist Board, Tanzania National Parks Authority, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, actively participated in the roadshow.

The institutions used the platform to showcase Tanzania’s world-class wildlife destinations, iconic safari experiences, and diverse tourism attractions that continue to attract visitors from across the world.

Participants also highlighted Tanzania’s famous coastal tourism destinations, particularly Zanzibar, widely known as the “Spice Island.”

Zanzibar is internationally recognized for its white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and rich cultural heritage that blends African, Arab, and European influences.

Tourism stakeholders said the roadshow plays an important role in promoting Tanzania’s tourism potential in the European market, which remains one of the key sources of international visitors to the country.

The My Tanzania Roadshow 2026 continues to strengthen Tanzania’s visibility in Europe while opening new opportunities for cooperation between international travel agents and Tanzanian tour operators.

Through such initiatives, Tanzania aims to attract more tourists to experience its remarkable natural beauty from iconic wildlife safaris in national parks and conservation areas to the relaxing tropical beaches of Zanzibar, the Spice Island.
