Tanzanian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Commissioner of Police (CP) Suzan Kaganda, held talks with Ethiopian Ambassador Rashid Mohammed Abdulwahid, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kaganda praised Ethiopia for maintaining the longstanding friendship, noting that the relationship was founded by the late leaders of both nations, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere of Tanzania and Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia.
She also commended Ethiopia’s preparations for the upcoming general elections in June 2026 and wished its people peace, unity, and solidarity throughout the electoral process.
Ambassador Abdulwahid thanked Tanzania for its continued support and emphasized that the discussions reflected the strong diplomatic ties and enduring fraternal relations between the two nations.
He also acknowledged Tanzania’s contributions in supporting Ethiopia’s engagement in regional and international platforms.
In a related diplomatic engagement, Ambassador Kaganda visited the Embassy of Indonesia in Zimbabwe to convey condolences following the death of former Vice President, Retired General Try Sutrisno, on March 2, 2026.
The visit highlighted Tanzania’s commitment to sustaining strong diplomatic relations with Indonesia.
