The Tanzania Trade Development Authority has invited Tanzanian traders and agricultural producers to take advantage of a new export opportunity in the Kenyan market by supplying selected agricultural commodities.
In a notice released by the trade promotion agency, TanTrade said Kenya is seeking reliable suppliers from Tanzania to provide biryani rice, Mwitemania beans and soybeans, commodities that continue to experience strong demand within the region.
According to the announcement, the Kenyan market requires 100 tonnes of biryani rice, 200 tonnes of Mwitemania (yellow) beans, and 3,000 tonnes of soybeans.
The authority said the opportunity is open to qualified Tanzanian companies and suppliers who are able to meet the specified quantities and export requirements.
TanTrade said the initiative is part of broader efforts to expand markets for Tanzanian agricultural products and strengthen cross-border trade within the East African region.
The agency noted that connecting local producers with international buyers remains one of its key priorities in promoting the country’s exports.
Suppliers interested in the opportunity are required to submit specific information to enable the authority to assess their eligibility and facilitate engagement with buyers.
The required details include the company registration number, company profile, location of the cargo, price per tonne, total quantity available, and valid export permits.
The authority explained that the information will help identify suppliers capable of meeting the demand and ensure that products destined for export meet necessary trade and regulatory standards.
TanTrade said such export opportunities not only support businesses and farmers but also contribute to increasing Tanzania’s agricultural export earnings while strengthening trade relations with neighbouring countries.
Interested suppliers have been advised to submit their details through TanTrade’s official communication channels. They can reach the authority through the email addresses enquiries@tantrade.go.tz or info@tantrade.go.tz Further information about export opportunities and trade promotion services can also be accessed through the TanTrade website at www.tantrade.go.tz and its official social media platforms under TanTrade Tanzania.
