Mineral indicative prices for March 07,2026

 

The Mining Commission of Tanzania has released the latest indicative prices for gold and silver, reflecting both global market trends and domestic mineral market conditions.

According to the Commission, the world market price for gold stands at USD 5,187 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 429,563.68 per gram. 

On the local mineral market, gold is valued at TZS 386,607.31 per gram, while the buying center price is set at TZS 378,016.04 per gram.

For silver, the world market price is reported at USD 84.34 per troy ounce, or TZS 6,984.65 per gram. Within the Tanzanian mineral market, silver is priced at TZS 6,286.19 per gram, with the buying center price at TZS 6,146.50 per gram.

The Commission noted that these indicative prices aim to guide miners, traders, and investors in making informed decisions while reflecting fluctuations in global commodities markets.

Stakeholders in the mining sector are encouraged to monitor these updates regularly to ensure transparency and fairness in mineral trade. 

The Commission also emphasized its commitment to supporting sustainable mining practices and protecting the interests of both small-scale and large-scale miners.
