Dr. Tulia Ackson, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and Member of Parliament for Uyole, brought together community leaders and residents for a special Iftar to honor Muslims observing the holy month of Ramadan.
In her address, Dr. Tulia highlighted the importance of unity, noting that this year, Muslims and Christians alike are observing fasting and reflection. She urged the community to continue fostering mutual love, supporting one another, and praying for the nation’s prosperity.
The event, held at Dr. Tulia’s residence in Itezi Ward, Uyole Constituency, Mbeya City, drew participation from both Muslim and Christian leaders, as well as local residents.
The gathering underscored interfaith solidarity and a shared commitment to social cohesion, bringing together people across religious lines in a spirit of harmony.
