Tanzanian clubs have wrapped up their international campaigns for the season, with Yanga SC, Singida Black Stars, and Azam FC all concluding their participation in CAF competitions.
Yanga SC ended their CAF Champions League journey on February 15 at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar with a commanding 3-0 win over JS Kabylie.
Despite finishing the group stage with eight points, Yanga fell short of advancing to the quarterfinals.
The scoring began in the 35th minute with a successful penalty. Depu doubled the lead in the 64th minute, and Boka sealed the victory with a third goal just two minutes later, capping Yanga’s international season with an emphatic win.
This result mirrors the fate of Simba SC, which concluded its CAF Champions League campaign a day earlier on February 14.
Meanwhile, in the CAF Confederation Cup, Azam FC suffered a 1-0 defeat against Wydad in Morocco, while Singida Black Stars drew against South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC, finishing their international fixtures.
With these results, the curtain falls on Tanzanian club football on the continental stage for the season, leaving fans to look forward to next year’s competitions.
