Tanzanian football teams Yanga, Simba, Azam FC, and Singida Black Stars have been urged to fight with full determination in their remaining international matches this weekend to secure positive results.

In the CAF Champions League, Yanga will face FAR Rabat in Morocco on February 7, while Simba will take on Petro Atlético in Angola on the same day.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Azam FC will host AS Maniema at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar on February 7, and Singida Black Stars will complete their fixtures on February 8 against CR Belouizdad at the same venue.

Speaking to The Respondent Online, former Tanzanian footballer Nemes Steven stressed that the teams should not focus solely on points but should prioritize fighting hard to achieve meaningful results.

He said Yanga and Singida Black Stars still have a chance to advance if they maximize their remaining matches.

On the other hand, Simba and Azam FC face tougher challenges due to their opponents’ strong positions in the standings, making it crucial for them to finish their campaigns with honor by giving their best on the field.

Steven encouraged Tanzanians to continue supporting their teams and praying for strong performances in these important international competitions.
