More than 100 swimming officials are expected to attend a day clinic organized by Tanzania Swimming Association(TSA)and Prime Sports Agency in Dar es salaam which is slated for this month end.
Edwin Karume who is TSA officials coordinator said the clinic will be held on 28 of this month at the University of Dar es salaam (Udsm)New Library and one of it's aims is to impart the participants with roles and responsibilities of swimming officials.
He said also at the clinic participants will be trained on modern training methods and techniques of the sport,saying the sport has now changed.
"We will have a clinic for swimming officials and representatives of clubs,we expect 100 participants from across the country to attend the clinic,it will help them (participants)to be in line with changes of the game,"he said.
He named clinic instructors as Jason Miller from Mwanza Swimming Club who is also a director of growth and education at Redknot Tanzania ,Noel Kiunsi who is sports coordinator at Udsm,TSA Technical Director (TD)and John Belela TSA vice president.
Karume said this is the first clinic which the two organizations TSA and Prime Sports Agency are organizing officials clinic,but they have plans to organize many short clinics and courses this year .
Last year in November,the two organizations organized a swimming talent in Dar es salaam.
