The Special Police Zone in Dar es Salaam has called on members of the public to ignore false and misleading information circulating on social media under the headline “TFF Have Attacked a Police Officer with Machetes.”
The Police have clarified that the report is completely untrue and was deliberately intended to spread fear, panic, and anxiety within the community.
Authorities have stated that legal action is ongoing against individuals and groups responsible for creating and spreading such false information.
Efforts are underway to identify, arrest, and present the suspects before the relevant legal authorities.
The Tanzania Police Force has reassured citizens that the security situation in Dar es Salaam remains calm and stable, urging the public to rely on official sources for accurate information.
