Simba SC has resumed training as the team prepares for their fifth-round CAF Champions League match against Angola’s Petro Atlético, scheduled for later this weekend.
The sessions are taking place at Mo Arena as the team gets ready to travel to Angola for the crucial encounter.
This follows Simba’s 2-2 draw against Tunisia’s Esperance in a group-stage match held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The result ended Simba’s hopes of advancing to the quarter-finals, marking the first time in seven consecutive CAF Champions League seasons that the club has failed to move beyond the group stage.
Despite being out of contention for the next round, Simba approaches the upcoming match with the aim of finishing the tournament on a strong note.
The team is focused on securing their first victory in the group and restoring confidence among their fans.
