Simanjiro District Commissioner (DC) Mr. Fakii Raphael Lulandala, District Administrative Secretary (DAS) Warda Abeid Maulid, and staff from the DC’s office visited Tarangire National Park for local tourism. The visit aimed to celebrate their achievements, strengthen teamwork, and prepare for the year 2026.

During the trip, the team enjoyed sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, dik-diks, hyenas, and wildebeests.

DC Lulandala said the visit was a way to appreciate the staff’s dedication while taking a moment to refresh themselves.

“Having served in Simanjiro for two years, I thought it fitting to start 2026 by recognizing our hard work and reconnecting as a team. Your support has been invaluable in ensuring that our duties run smoothly,” DC Lulandala said.

He added that local leaders have been instrumental in supporting his office, helping to bring government services closer to communities.

“By enjoying the park together, sharing meals, and relaxing, we recharge our minds to better serve the people of Simanjiro,” he said.

DAS Warda Maulid praised the staff for their commitment and urged them to continue working diligently upon returning to the office.

Officers and secretaries from various Tarafa also presented DC Lulandala and DAS Warda with traditional attire in appreciation of their leadership.

Emboreet Tarafa Officer Beny Mwandalile said the visit was an opportunity to bond as a team and refresh themselves for community service.

Similarly, Naberera Tarafa Officer Tumaini Sebastian described the tour as motivating, helping staff return with renewed energy and fresh ideas to perform their duties effectively.
