Rukwa Regional Commissioner, Makongoro Nyerere, visited the Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) on February 20, 2025, to review the bank’s role in supporting farmers, livestock keepers, and fishermen in the region.
During the visit, Nyerere noted that since its establishment, TADB has provided financial services that many in Rukwa rely on, particularly loans with affordable interest rates that help sustain and expand agricultural and fishing activities.
TADB's Managing Director Mr. Frank Nyabundege received the RC and highlighted that the bank’s operations are supported by increased capital from the Sixth Phase Government led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
This capital expansion is intended to enable TADB to reach more farmers, livestock keepers, and fishermen across the country.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance access to financial services in Rukwa and strengthen the role of the agricultural sector in local economic development.
