President Samia Suluhu Hassan has reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to building trust-driven and results-oriented partnerships with global investors, as she took part in the official launch of the Global Africa Investment Summit (GAIS) in Dubai on Tuesday night.

Speaking at the high-level forum, President Samia said investors today are not merely looking for opportunities, but for reliability anchored in stable policies, strong institutions and governments that consistently deliver on their promises.

She noted that Tanzania has deliberately invested in strategic sectors including energy, railways, ports and transport infrastructure to strengthen its competitiveness and long-term investment appeal.

The President also highlighted key reforms undertaken by her administration, including the development of Special Investment Zones and the establishment of a One-Stop Investment Centre, which she said have simplified procedures and improved efficiency for both local and foreign investors.

She told delegates that Tanzania’s engagement in GAIS underscores the country’s shift towards structured and well-aligned investment partnerships that support national development priorities while meeting the expectations of international capital.

The Global Africa Investment Summit aims to align political leadership, national resources and global finance, positioning Africa as a destination for high-impact investment.

For Tanzania, the platform provides an opportunity to showcase its readiness to host investments that generate employment, stimulate economic growth and support sustainable development.
