The Mining Commission emphasizes that these indicative prices are crucial for transparency in the trading of minerals, ensuring that miners and buying centres operate under a standardized pricing system.

The prices are updated regularly to reflect fluctuations in global markets, exchange rates, and local demand.

Tanzania remains a leading gold producer in Africa, and such updates help in maintaining investor confidence while safeguarding the interests of artisanal and small-scale miners.

The Mining Commission continues to urge miners and traders to adhere to official channels when selling or purchasing minerals to ensure fair pricing and compliance with national regulations.
