The Water Sector is set to implement major digital reforms through increased investment in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
The Minister for Water, Jumaa Aweso (MP), said the move aims to address challenges such as water losses, illegal connections, fraudulent billing, water theft, and revenue control.
He made the remarks during a meeting with the Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, Angellah Kairuki (MP), at the Ministry of Water offices in Mtumba, Dodoma.
Kairuki said the Water Sector is a priority area and requires a strong digital communication system to enhance water management, billing efficiency, and reduce water leakages.
