Dodoma Mayor commends President Samia for clean cooking energy campaign

The Mayor of Dodoma City, Alimwoni Chaula, has applauded President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for leading the national Clean Cooking Energy campaign, saying the initiative will transform households and improve public health.

Speaking at the launch of the project at the Parliamentary Secondary School in Dodoma, Hon. Chaula pledged that the city council will continue supporting all government efforts aimed at improving citizens’ lives.

He also praised the Ministry of Energy for introducing and implementing the project in Dodoma, calling it a key step toward sustainable and safe cooking practices.

The Mayor commended residents of Kikombo for their ongoing support of government programs and urged authorities to continue bringing development projects to local communities. 

He also thanked the Parliament of Tanzania for establishing a girls’ secondary school, describing it as a significant milestone in promoting education for young girls.

“The Clean Cooking Energy project is more than an initiative it is a pathway to healthier families, a cleaner environment, and a better quality of life for our citizens,” Chaula said.

The launch underscores the government’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and social development, reinforcing Dodoma’s role as a model city for innovative projects that directly benefit the people.
