Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga SC) has invited qualified local and international investors to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for a strategic partnership to develop a modern stadium and related infrastructure in Dar es Salaam, in what marks a major step in the club’s long-term commercial and infrastructure ambitions.
In a public notice issued on January 9, 2026, Yanga said the proposed partnership is intended to support the implementation of its long-term infrastructure development strategy, with the project expected to enhance revenue generation, improve the matchday experience and strengthen the club’s overall sustainability.
The club said it is seeking partners with the capacity to finance, design, construct and operate a modern stadium facility under flexible and commercially viable arrangements.
The project, according to the notice, will be implemented through innovative and bankable partnership models that reflect international best practices in sports infrastructure development.
Plans indicate that the proposed stadium will have a seating capacity of between 25,000 and 35,000 spectators and will feature a hybrid pitch.
The facility is also expected to include advanced lighting and sound systems, reliable water and drainage infrastructure, VIP and hospitality areas, media and broadcasting facilities, as well as modern safety, access control and ticketing systems.
Yanga said the project may be structured under a range of partnership models, including naming rights arrangements, sponsorship-led funding, public-private partnership (PPP) concessions and Design-Build-Finance-Operate (DBFO) frameworks.
The club added that it remains open to other innovative commercial models capable of unlocking value while ensuring long-term operational efficiency.
According to the notice, interested investors must demonstrate strong technical experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, solid financial capacity and the ability to mobilise funding.
Prior experience in stadium development or similar large facilities will be considered an added advantage. All proposals must comply with applicable Tanzanian laws and regulations.
Under the EOI process, shortlisted applicants will be issued with a detailed brief outlining the next stages, including preliminary project information, procurement procedures and the evaluation framework for selecting a strategic partner.
Applicants are required to submit a signed Expression of Interest letter, company profile, summary of relevant experience, an outline of the proposed partnership or financing approach, and contact details of an authorised representative.
Supporting documents, including business registration certificates, tax compliance records and audited financial statements for the past three years, must also be provided.
All EOIs should be submitted electronically via email to info@yangasc.africa clearly quoting the reference number YASC/EOI/001/2026 – Yanga Stadium Partnership, by January 23, 2026, at 4:00pm.
The club said it reserves the right to accept or reject any submission and is not obliged to proceed with negotiations or transactions arising from the notice.
The move underscores Yanga’s growing push to modernise its infrastructure and reinforce its status as one of the region’s leading football institutions through strategic private-sector partnerships.
