Young Africans SC (Yanga) continued their impressive run in the NBC Tanzania Premier League with a 3–1 comeback victory over Dodoma Jiji in a match played on January 27, 2026, at the KMC Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Dodoma Jiji stunned the champions by taking the lead in the 41st minute through William Edgar, who capitalised on a defensive lapse to give his side a crucial advantage.

The goal briefly shifted momentum in Dodoma Jiji’s favour, but Yanga responded with increased attacking intensity.

Their persistence paid off deep into first-half stoppage time when they found the equaliser in the 45+5th minute, ensuring both teams went into the break locked at 1–1.

After halftime, Yanga emerged with greater urgency, dictating the tempo of the game through superior ball possession and sustained pressure in the attacking third.

Their dominance was rewarded in the 60th minute when Laurindo Depu confidently converted from the penalty spot to hand Yanga a 2–1 lead.

Just six minutes later, Prince Dube struck Yanga’s third goal with a clinical finish, effectively ending Dodoma Jiji’s hopes of staging a comeback.

Yanga maintained control in the closing stages to secure all three points, reinforcing their position near the top of the league table and underlining their credentials as strong title contenders this season.
