The Government of Tanzania has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the former President of South Yemen and former Vice President of the Republic of Yemen, the late Ali Salem al-Beidh.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Said Shaib Mussa, signed the Condolence Book at the Embassy of Yemen in Dar es Salaam on behalf of the Government.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Ambassador Mussa conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, noting that Tanzania received the news of the passing with great sadness.
He said the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania stands in solidarity with the family of the late Ali Salem al-Beidh, as well as the Government and people of Yemen during this difficult time.
Ambassador Mussa reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations with Yemen and expressed continued support for the Yemeni people in moments of grief and national reflection.
