Simba SC will take to the pitch tomorrow to face Mashujaa FC in a Tanzania Mainland NBC Premier League fixture set to be played at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam, with the Reds targeting a crucial three-point victory.
Simba Head Coach Steve Barker said his side is fully prepared for the contest, emphasizing that securing maximum points remains the team’s top priority as they continue their domestic campaign.
“The team is in good shape and has prepared well for this match. Our focus is to deliver a strong performance and collect all three points,” Barker said.
He confirmed that the squad is largely fit, with only Shomari Kapombe and Mohammed Bajaber sidelined due to injury.
Midfielder Hussein Semfuko echoed the coach’s confidence, stating that the players are motivated and ready to execute tactical instructions from the technical bench. He also called on Simba supporters to turn out in large numbers to rally behind the team.
“We are fully prepared and committed. We urge our fans to come and support us. With God’s help, we believe we can secure a positive result,” Semfuko said.
Mashujaa FC Head Coach Salum Mayanga said his side has intensified preparations, focusing on correcting shortcomings from previous matches.
Although three of his players will miss the game, he expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to compete.
“We have worked on our mistakes and the team is ready for the challenge,” Mayanga noted.
Mashujaa player Ismail Mgunda acknowledged the difficulty of facing a powerhouse like Simba but insisted his team is well prepared for a competitive battle.
“We know Simba is a big team, but we have prepared well. We expect a tough and exciting match,” Mgunda said.
Meanwhile, Simba’s Media and Communications Manager Ahmed Ally described the fixture as part of the club’s broader preparations for upcoming international competitions, cautioning that Mashujaa should not be taken lightly.
The match is expected to draw significant fan interest, with both teams eager to strengthen their league standing in what promises to be an intense and closely contested encounter.
