Tanzanian youth have praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her government’s responsiveness and the steady progress in national development, particularly in addressing citizens’ concerns in social services.

Speaking to The Respondent on Friday, January 23, 2026, Denis Kirumba, a resident of Tabata in Dar es Salaam, commended the establishment of the Ministry responsible for Youth Development, describing it as a crucial step in empowering young people.

He said the ministry has helped him and other youth identify emerging opportunities while providing guidance on how to access government support programmes, including loans and entrepreneurship training.

“We are very grateful to the President for establishing the Youth Ministry. It listens to our concerns, creates opportunities for us, and guides us on accessing loans and becoming entrepreneurs,” Kirumba said.

He also highlighted visible improvements in development projects across the country, citing the construction of tarmac roads in various neighbourhoods, expanded access to clean water, and investments in other key social infrastructure.

According to Kirumba, ongoing reforms in the health and education sectors have further improved service delivery, easing the burden on citizens and strengthening confidence in government institutions.

The youth’s remarks reflect growing public recognition of government efforts to improve livelihoods, expand opportunities, and respond to community needs under the Sixth Phase Government.
